Church Planting Pastor - Aaron Hoak
Aaron grew up in South Carolina and Kentucky, the son of a minister of the gospel. That first hand exposure to ministry didn't drive him away from it, but encouraged him toward it. He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and earned a B.A. in Biology. After college, he began studying for the ministry at Westminster Seminary California, earning his M.Div. in 2002. He also completed the course of studies at the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies during that time. After graduating from seminary, he received a call to come to Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, IN to labor in the gospel ministry. He was ordained there in 2003.
Towards the end of 2009, GFC began to pursue the possibility of planting a new church in Warsaw, IN. Grace Baptist Fellowship is that church plant. The Hoaks moved from Bremen to Warsaw to take up the work full time and have been enjoying the challenging and rewarding work of church planting.
Aaron was married to Erin after his second year of seminary in 2000. She is a wonderful companion, support, and help to him. They have four boys: Ryan, Andrew, Mitchell, and Zachary who bring them great joy and new challenges every day. Aaron enjoys spending time with his family (especially taking walks together) and reading all sorts of books from theology to mysteries to books about baseball. He is also a sports fan and enjoys playing and coaching soccer. Aaron’s interest in different cultures, travel, and foreign missions have taken him to eight foreign countries on three different continents.
